A Love Story: Boaz and Ruth Day 7: Sunday Selah
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14, ESV)
As we begin a new week, I pray that the redemption that we have in Christ Jesus will not only comfort us but challenge us to live differently.
Paul reminded us that we were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19).
Do I love others in a way that’s worthy of the blood of Christ? Do I spend my time in a way that’s worthy of the blood of Christ? Do I worship and serve God in a way that’s worthy of the blood of Christ—His only Son?
Our redemption is undeserved. It’s a display of the fullness of His love. It’s eternal. It’s in Christ Jesus. Let’s rest on these truths today and every day.
