Authentically You Day 6: A Reflection on Authenticity

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:14, ESV)

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8, ESV)

As we reflect on what we’ve learned about authenticity and the believer, let’s take a few minutes to answer the questions below and then write out/speak a prayer to the Lord.

  1. Where do you feel the most pressure to fit in?
  2. Write some of the ways you feel pressured to conform.
  3. Write some of the things God asks you to be.
  4. What are some ways you can choose this coming week to be authentically you and who you are meant to be in Christ?
  5. Write a prayer to the Lord for help in becoming who you were meant to be and to give you guidance when facing the pressures of this world.
