Being A Good Neighbor Day 7 – Sunday Selah
“Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.” (Romans 5:12, ESV)
As we’ve looked at being a good neighbor this week, perhaps one of the best places to practice this would be in our local church. The Scripture verse for today encourages us to build up one another—a practical function carried out within the local church. The truth is that we easily perceive the faults of our brothers and sisters and focus on what we dislike about them, while failing to build one another up.
How different might our churches be if each member was actively seeking to follow Romans 5:12? If we truly had a desire to please our neighbor and offer encouragement and practical ways to build one another up, wouldn’t that be a wonderful atmosphere for worship and fellowship? May we each commit to being a better neighbor and look for ways to serve those within our communities.
