Making Room for God and His Church Day 7: Sunday Selah
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! (Psalm 95:6, ESV)
He must increase, but I must decrease. (John 3:30, ESV)
To make room for Jesus, we must understand our position before Him in order to worship Him and give Him the place He deserves.
The above Scripture passages stress posture—bow down, kneel and decrease.
As we come before the Father this morning to meet collectively, we must appreciate Christ’s willingness to come down from His throne in Heaven to the depths of suffering and the tomb to redeem us. This “low place” He willingly experienced for us was God’s plan to rescue us from sin and hell. Never again must He be given a low place—we must lift Him high!
As we worship today, let’s lift high our praises to Christ our LORD. He is above all things and we humbly bow before Him in thanksgiving and adoration for all He’s accomplished for us. What a Savior we worship and serve!
