Managing Our Emotions Well Day 7 – Sunday Selah, Closer to Christ
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23, ESV)
Over the past week we’ve discussed a great deal about how overwhelming emotions can be and how to react to them. How amazing it is that we have a built-in emotion deflater! The Holy Spirit, along with the fruit that He brings, is God’s way of helping us regulate our emotions.
In anger, He can give us peace, patience, gentleness and self-control, if we allow Him. In fear, He can give us peace, love, and joy in abundance. There is no emotion too big that God can’t helps us manage. He is patient with us as we navigate our human emotions and loves us enough to lend us a hand along the way. What an amazing God we serve!
