Money Goals for 2022 Day 6: Sum It Up
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. (1 Timothy 6:9, ESV)
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15, ESV)
As we have looked at money goals over the last week, we understand the importance of getting our finances in order. The Bible clearly states that we are stewards of the money the Lord has blessed us with. As a result, we are to be responsible and generous with our money and our possessions. If we are to do this, we must work to get out of debt, get back on track, plan out our spending better in the new year, and use credit cards for our advantage instead of our detriment.
If we are going to meet our money goals for 2022, it will require a right attitude, planning, dedication, discipline, and, most importantly, prayer. If we are to be good stewards of our money, we will need help from Him. As believers, let us strive to be responsible with what we have, honoring the Lord with what we have been given. Learn from the mistakes of 2021 and use them to be even better in 2022.
