O Come, Let Us Adore Him 25: A Christmas Day Prayer

O Come, Let Us Adore Him – Advent Day 25 – A Christmas Day Prayer

Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. … The angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid! … I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem!” … Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”  (select verses from Luke 2:9-14, NLT and NIV)

Select lyrics from “Gloria” by Casting Crowns:

Come to Bethlehem and see
More than a story, it’ll set you free.
GLORIA to the Promised One,
GLORIA to the only Son.
Come adore on bended knee
Christ the LORD, the newborn King.

Glorious Lord, we come to adore You this morning. We are welcomed at Your table, through grace alone, to remember, treasure, and join with all of heaven, as we rejoice in Your coming!

You extend your imploring invitation, “Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth!  For I am God, and there is no other” (Isaiah 45:22, NKJV).

You are the One who has given everything to redeem us, because You were the only One who could. How our hearts rise in worship … that You are God, that Your love for us is beyond understanding, that Your sacrifice for us canceled the debt against us and draws us near, that You continue to pursue our hearts, walk beside us, work within us, and lead us in right paths, bringing glory to Your Name!

We adore You as Immanuel, forever God with us. You have promised to never leave us or forsake us. We adore You as the promised Son, the exact and complete fulfillment of every word spoken by God the Father, the full radiance of His glory! You are the One in whom is all our hope; You fill us with deep and lasting joy!

Receive our humble praise from deeply grateful hearts today!

In the Name above all names, the only worthy One, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Hallelujah! Amen.

Merry Christmas, dear friends!
