O my soul
awake and delight
without delay
the LORD your Savior
has bid you welcome
to dine at His table today
a remembrance feast
He spreads for you
to draw your heart to His
His body broken
His blood poured out
what a sacred gift is this!
He drained the cup
bore every blow
that would be yours
“this was My choice,” He softly says,
“whatever the cost,
your life secured.”
bow low in worship
and adore
set aside that hindering thing
receive with joy
the Savior’s love
and let your praises ring
no other loves you
like He does
no other welcome sweet
step inside this quiet hour
pause now
in calm retreat,
O my soul.
