Supporting the Burdens of Others Day 16: Summing It Up
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6;2, ESV)
Now that we’ve walked through carrying others’ burdens and voicing our own, I pray we will put these things into action. There are people in all areas of our lives who have burdens they shouldn’t have to carry alone. Instead of adding to those burdens, let’s be willing to come alongside and help them in whatever they may be going through. In our own lives, let’s also remember to be open and honest about our burdens and bring them before Christ. He already knows what’s on our hearts and He understands exactly how we are feeling. We can also share those burdens with family, friends, and fellow believers in our local church.
I pray that after reading this and putting it into practice, you will experience relief, like putting down a heavy bag after walking in the hot sun. You are not alone in what you are going through—I am praying now for whatever that need might be. Let’s all honor Christ in carrying others’ burdens and serving our brothers and sisters as we were designed to.
