The Skies Proclaim His Handiwork Day 7: Sunday Selah
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:3-5, ESV)
The vastness of our universe is so unfathomable that our human minds are unable to grasp it. Many have said—and the Scriptures also say—that the heavens make the reality of God’s existence obvious, leaving no excuse concerning our knowledge of a Creator, no matter if the gospel has reached our ears or not.
When we consider the heavens and all they contain, we can feel so small in the midst of it all. It really is so incredibly amazing that God would care for me—a seemingly small dot of insignificance in the span of eternity. And not only does He care for me, He sent His precious Son, Jesus, to die for me, opening the way for my salvation and an eternity with Him in Heaven. He did the very same for you, and if you know Him as Savior, you too are incredibly blessed! Today, join me in praising and worshiping our Creator King—our Savior and Redeemer! He is so worthy!
