What Do You Want To Be? Day 7: Sunday Selah
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7, ESV)
This is one of my absolute favorite verses in Scripture to read and reflect on because it’s a reminder of the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us. God commands us to be like His Son, which isn’t an easy task. Yet He gave us His Word and His Spirit to help us be better equipped for this. I challenge you to commit this verse to memory—something I’ve found to be extremely helpful in my walk with the Lord.
Let’s walk into this next week with boldness because of God’s Spirit who lives within us. There are so many things we may face which we can’t control, and it’s hard to imagine going through those things without the Holy Spirit to protect and comfort. But we have such a special relationship with Him, in that He has given each Christian His Spirit, with the promise that He will be with us wherever we go. I am so thankful that we never have to be alone—we have Him with us each and every moment.
